Learn about some of the beautiful, famous parks in Paris. Relax with your family, friends, or alone, on warm sunny days in Paris.

When a gentle breeze is blowing, the sky is at its bluest and the sun is high up in the sky, why not meander at Parc Montsouris? This park, organized in the 19th century was ordered to be constructed by Napolean III and Baron Haussmann who wanted to make sure that Paris had plenty of green space. The park is reminiscent of a garden, with sculptures, flowers, large walkways and huge old trees throughout. There is also an enormous lake in the park. Parc Montsouris is one of the largest parks in Paris.

Enjoy Le Parc de la Villette

Le Parc de la Villette is known for its Great Hall for musical entertainment and its Center for Science, but the gardens will certainly lure you to stay outside and enjoy nature on a mild-weathered afternoon. Flowers, fruits, and plants are grown in the gardens and visitors are invited to be among them, learn about them in a workshop or take organized tours of the gardens. The park has a grand hall for events, a library, and a restaurant with a pleasant patio for meals. There is also a canal with a ferry, and you may see throngs of people sitting cross-legged on blankets at La Prairie du Triangle.

Visit Bois de Boulogne

Bois de Boulogne is considered to be an oasis in Paris. This park has an abundance of walking paths, bike paths and plenty of lakes. According to the Paris Chamber of Commerce Bois de Boulogne is one of the largest green areas in Paris. You don't have to limit your experience to walking in the park, you can also use a boat as your mode of transportation to delight in the lovely sights. If you'd rather have a more active experience in the park, there's a large circuit area and a jogging path. Some people also ride horses in the park. There's a nearby lake for fishing, too.

Here is a map for the park.

Hikers love the steep slopes of Parc de Buttes, which is also the largest park in Paris. Baron Haussmann, who was instrumental in the development of Parc Montsouris was also one of the people behind the creation of this park. Although Parc de Buttes is a steep park, you can enjoy the park by simply relaxing in its greenery and taking in nature throughout the park.
