The exhibit, "Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs" will be displayed in Atlanta, Georgia at the Atlanta Civic Center from November 15 to May 25, 2009.

Take the family to learn about King Tut and his life. An exhibit featuring the young king is coming to Atlanta, Georgia. See over 130 treasures from the tomb of King Tutankhamun from November 15, 2008 to May 25, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgias, Atlanta Civic Center. The exhibit will premier in Atlanta, later visiting other cities in the United States.

Children will especially enjoy the exhibit as they learn about King Tut's rule by gazing at the artificats that were found in his tomb. Items from other rulers that were found in various places will also be featured in the exhibit. According to exhibit organizers, about 2,000 years will be represented through art. Some of the items have not been viewed in the United States before. About 50 of the 130 treasures are derived from King Tut; the other artifacts represent items found from other Egyptian rulers and influential people. Families will have the opportunity to explore four galleries worth of artifacts from King Tut. The galleries will represent the four rooms of his actual tomb, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter, a press release stated.

Tickets for the King Tut Exhibit are on Sale

Tickets for the King Tut exhibit in Atlanta are $32 for adults; $16.50 for children 6-17 and $29.50 for students over 18 and senior citizens 65 and older with identification. Discount tickets are available for Publix shoppers, American Airline customers, and through other organizations online for tickets ordered from Ticketmaster.

Additional information about the exhibit can be obtained by taking a audio guided tour. Visitors can order the use of an audio tour player, narrated by actor Omar Sharif by adding the cost of the audio tour player to the Ticketmaster order. For an additional $5 exhibit visitors will see a 3D movie on Egypt at the Atlanta Civic Center. The movie may be seen before or after people view the King Tut exhibition.

King Tut Discounts are Available

Even after viewing the exhibit, get future discounts thanks to the 75 Atlanta businesses that are offering discounts on goods and services with Egyptian themes. People who purchases a King Tut ticket for the exhibition at the Atlanta Civic Center will get a Gold Pass, representing over $240 in discounts. The discounts are in health and beauty, pet services, entertainment, restaurants, and other purchases. For example, people with a Gold Pass can receive 10% off of online purchased tickets for the Georgia Aquarium. Get a discount on tans, facials, meals, and other items.
